Colorful Coconut Balls

Holi is a Hindu spring festival in India and Nepal, also known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love”. My today’s recipe “Colorful Coconut Balls” is the perfect sweet dish for this festival. It is quick and easy to make. Wish you “Happy Holi” to all of my friends!

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups desiccated Coconut
  • 3 tbsp Mawa (khoya)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar dust
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder (Elach)
  • 3-4 Colors (as per your choice)

TIME REQUIRED : Less than 20 minutes

PROCEDURE

STEP 1

Mix these ingredients (Coconut, Sugar, Khoya and Cardamom powder) in a pan.

STEP 2

Turn on gas and cook in low medium heat, stirring constantly until sticky.

STEP 3

Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool slightly.

STEP 4

Divide the mixture three or four equal quantities. Here I used 4 colors and that’s why I divided it in four equal quantity. Now add 2 to 3 drop of colors each and mix them very well.

STEP 5

Make small balls by rolling between your palms. The Balls will dry up and become firm once completely cooled. Now your Colorful Coconut Balls are ready to serve.
